Can anyone explain/describe to me the type of jobs in Aviation Support ( U.S Marines ) do?

Im in my recurting fase to I can tell you every marine is a rifel manjust means every marine will learn how to use a gun anytime you are deployed oversea’s you are required to carry a gun on you for protection which makes since. but when you are in the states you dont have to carry a gun.
